Don't be an ass No godmodding, powerplaying, or crossing the ooc/ic line. It's just a no-no and no one will like you if you do it. The mods are here for a reason All major plot must be cleared with one of us. Likewise, if you have a question concerning anything going on in the game, we'll be happy to answer it and clear up any confusion you may have. Two characters per player to start This is simply to allow other players to apply for their desired characters. If one player takes six of the most wanted characters, that isn't fair. Also, if one player has six characters, it might give the illusion that the game is far more active than it actually is. After two weeks of being active with the first two characters, we'll allow a third, and then possibly a fourth. However, never more than four characters per player at a time will be allowed. Post at least once every two weeks We do sweeps at the end of every month, or as close to it as possible. That being said, if your character hasn't posted at least two forms of activity, we will give you three days warning to post, and then removal will ensue. Acceptable forms of activity include: journal entries, posted threads, being involved in a thread that is completed or being worked on, emails, AIM logs between two characters, or phonecall logs between two characters (all of which, excluding journal entries, should be posted in the main community) Quality over quantity We don't believe in post minimums here. However, one liners are hardly ever acceptable. We want you to put thought into your characters and subsequently, thought should go into your individual tags as well. We do not want six paragraphs on the shining color of Character A's hair, but we do want a little insight into them when possible. This is not your porn stash This is a game with mature players who expect other players to act as such. Graphic scenes should be put behind a cut with an NC-17 warning, and for the safety of all of our asses, you need to be at least 17 years or older to apply. If you can't legally watch a rated R movie in public, then you can't be expected to approach sexuality like an adult. Our apologies, but some of us are in our 20's. OOC belongs in OOC If you're going out of town for a few days, won't have internet access or are just plain too swamped with real life, drop us a short line to let us know. We won't bite your head off; in fact, we'll appreciate it more as you might as well when you're character doesn't magically disappear after a few days from being inactivity swept. IC belongs in the community Don't bring your characters opinions to other players to start unnecessary drama. If two characters don't get along, fine. But don't dislike someone else just because their character said something mean about yours. That is the sort of thing that causes drama in a community, and good communities can take detrimental hits because one or two players can't keep their egos in check. Have fun I don't think this should need explaining, but if you're not having fun and threading is becoming tedious, then maybe it's time for you to respectfully bow out. We won't get mad. RP should be a fun experience for everyone involved. |
